DELAC

The District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) is comprised of Blue Ridge staff and parents. The purpose of DELAC is to provide English Learner families with a platform to share ideas and address concerns, and for the school to be able to provide updates and opportunities to learn more about the programs offered to their children. Parents are encouraged to provide input to the Principal and school staff on the most positive and effective strategies for teaching English Learners, and the Committee strives to provide input on the most effective ways to support the full participation of English Learners in live instruction and activities and ensure regular school attendance. 

The overall goal of DELAC is to improve our English Learners’ acquisition of fluency in English and to help our students achieve academic success. DELAC welcomes you to join us at the next online session. We look forward to seeing you there. All are welcome!
