Acellus CybrSchool
Grades TK-8
Acellus offers engaging and self-paced online courses. Pre-recorded video lessons are presented by experienced teachers in a format that students can access from a computer, phone, or tablet whenever they wish. In addition to video instruction, there are self-check questions and periodic assessments. As well, courses contain a number of Special Lessons or “offline” assignments in which the student puts their learning into practice. Special Lessons are designed to build depth into the course with additional instruction in the way of at-home science labs, writing and composition, focused projects, and critical thinking activities. Acellus Cybrschool is parent and HST-managed for all instruction and grading. When the CybrSchool option is activated, HSTs have the ability to request live sessions with the student.

ALEKS
Grades 3-12
Assessment and Learning in Knowledge Spaces (ALEKS) is a web-based, artificially intelligent assessment and learning system for mathematics courses. ALEKS uses adaptive questioning to determine exactly what a student knows and does not know in a course, then instructs the student on the topics he or she is most ready to learn. As a student works through a course, ALEKS periodically reassesses the student to ensure that topics learned are also retained. Courses are very complete in their topic coverage and avoid multiple-choice questions. ALEKS math is parent and HST-managed. Content is auto-graded, but worksheets for enrichment and supplemental learning should be assigned.

Branches Learning
Grades TK-12
Blue Ridge Academy partners with Branches Learning to offer a live, virtual classroom for instruction. These cohort classes are project-based, meet CCSS, and engage Learners in real-world issues through personally meaningful projects. Students identify an issue, complete research, and present an evidence-based solution. Instructors are successful in providing an engaging and fun learning environment due to their long, productive history with the homeschool population. Classes meet twice each week at the same time and day throughout the school year. Attendance is mandatory. Live cohorts focus on grades 2-12. Theme-based kits are available for TK. Supplemental enrichment classes are available for K-1.

Bridgeway

Grades 2-12
Bridgeway partners with Blue Ridge Academy to offer live, virtual instruction dedicated to Blue Ridge students. These cohort classes are meant to mirror a traditional brick-and-mortar experience and are designed to help students meet the rigor of CCSS while building a community with the same classmates throughout the year. Instructors are dedicated to providing an engaging and fun learning environment. Classes meet twice each week at the same time and day throughout the school year. Attendance is mandatory. The live class instruction allows students to work on their assignments outside of the virtual classroom and the parent or Learning Coach is expected to participate in this learning.

Lincoln Empowered
Grades TK-8
The Lincoln Empowered curriculum delivers textbook-free instruction that generates student excitement and creativity in science, language arts, math, social studies, wellness, music, and visual arts. Each thematic unit and lesson provides a variety of digital learning objects such as instructional texts, videos, games, interactive simulations, and assessments which gives students multiple ways to engage with, understand, and demonstrate mastery of the content. By breaking national and state standards into key learning objectives and presenting students with concrete learning objects, Lincoln Learning helps students to master standards in a manageable fashion. Supplemental “Show It” practice activities (worksheets) are available to print and complete. Families may purchase the teacher-add-on service or purchase it as parent-led. Course kits are available for purchase.
